Clean and lubricate brake calipers and slide mechanisms. Check and fill brake fluid. Bleed air from system. Road test vehicle.

  • 1. Verify the engine oil level is full and of good quality. This system uses oil pressure to activate the Valve Pause System (VPS) and if the oil level is low, the code will set. 2. Both banks use a single wire oil pressure switch that is open when the system is Off (no oil pressure). The Parameter Identification (PID) on the scan tool should also read Off. When the solenoids are activated, the oil pressure switch should read On (with 35 to 50 PSI of oil pressure). The oil pressure will push the switches closed, in order to ground the wire from the Engine Control Module (ECM).
